2024 Youth Year in Review

The inaugural Wow Factor Stopper’s 2024 youth season was a great success! Our youth 13 teams at various level equated themselves well and we are thrilled by the growth and development at the individual and team levels. Starting in the fall of 2023 our 9u and 11u teams won their respective fall baseball leagues with three other teams making it to the championship. During the start of the 2024 season indoors, 12u Kal’s team took home the championship in Bettendorf Iowa while 11u Ewald and 12u Bermeo each won championships in Primetime Sports tournaments at the Rosemont Dome.

In April we took the whole youth program to the Spring Shootout at Grand Park, Indiana. Two teams made the finals and our 9u Link team finished second among some of the best teams in the Midwest. In the Month of April alone our youth teams finished with a combined 90 - 63 record. A strong start for the program, setting the tone for our successful summer.

Throughout the season many of our youth teams competed in some of the most prestigious events in Chicagoland and throughout the Midwest. In Omaha, at the famed Slumpbuster event, we had both a 13 and 14u team claim championships. Our 14 Elite team secured a championship at the Perfect Game Midwest Elite championship. 12u led by coach Kalvin won their bracket championship at Pigeon Forge. Closer to home we had teams at every level competed and as far as championship games and in total our youth program took home 29 championships and 18 runners up in tournament and / or league play. We are so proud of the success of our teams this year!

We also want to recognize the fact that many individual players from a number of age groups achieved numerous honors as well. Dylan Williamson, Jaylen Camacho, and Sammy Kassof from 14u each received individual honors and / or invites from national organizations like Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report. Lucas Takacs from 11u won the Grand Park Amateur Baseball Championship Home Run Derby in the 11u and 12u division. More notably though is the overall growth and development of all our players. Our coaches work diligently all winter and spring to help prepare the boys for success on the field and our record and individual achievements point to this. Our player development programing is no doubt what we are most proud of as a program.

All of our success would not be possible without the support of our wonderful family’s! It is not lost on us that so many parents make a number of sacrifices so that their players are able to participate in the program. The dedication and positive energy of Stoppers families is what makes our success possible. We could not have reached the heights we did this season without your support. We look forward to the success to come and are grateful for a great year!
